Writer & Graphic Artist, 1994–present

I don’t write much for publication these days, but over the years I’ve contributed essays, reported pieces, book reviews, and graphic art to a long list of magazines, newspapers, and websites, including Vanity Fair, The New York Times, Lingua Franca, Metropolis, The Village Voice, Nerve, the U.K. Independent, Book, The New York Sun, Civilization, Newsday, Print, Time Out New York, and Columbia Journalism Review. Among my favorite pieces: a 2001 Lingua Franca article about Shakespeare porn; a 2003 New York Sun review of Chuck Klosterman’s essay collection Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs; a 2000 Village Voice article about one of New York’s great public-access TV shows; and a 2008 Vanity Fair spoof that imagined a Facebook spinoff for ultra-rich famous people like Rupert Murdoch. I’ll be posting these and other pieces on this site soon.
